Santa House Deconstruction for the Geneva Chamber of Commerce

Monday, September 27th, 2021 by Samantha Creadon

Last week we were able to help the Geneva Chamber of Commerce tackle their Santa House project. Looking to update their holiday setup, the Chamber reached out needing someone to dismantle and haul away their 40-year-old “mini mobile home”. Sitting on a 32x10 foot trailer, the festive residence was fully insulated and heated with two rooms and track lighting.

Over the course of two days, we were able to completely dismantle the structure, starting with removing what remained inside the trailer, the roof, and 2 exterior walls. By the second day, the only parts of the project left were to remove the last few walls and clean up the remaining demolition waste.

The trailer, unfortunately, doesn’t have a title or plates, so it will be scrapped with our local metal recycling company. The remaining lumber and construction waste will be sorted and taken to a local materials management company that will recycle what’s left.

We are so very excited to be able to help Geneva with this project. This holiday display has played an important part in Geneva families' holiday celebrations for years, and we're honored to be able to help the city dispose of such an important structure in the right way!
